Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in medicine and life and health insurance, Dr Dhiraj Goud is responsible for underwriting and claims functions for 69É«ÇéƬ’s Southeast markets. In this role, Dhiraj leads the development, implementation, and oversight of underwriting and claims standards, policies, and quality controls, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. He also drives transformation initiatives for these functions and supports product innovation.
Prior to this role, Dhiraj served on the Asia regional underwriting team supporting various markets and responsible for product underwriting frameworks, underwriting philosophies and best practices in Asia. Dhiraj joined 69É«ÇéƬ in 2009 in India as the local lead for health underwriting and claims; he also provided product development support. Since joining the company, Dhiraj has served in many capacities, including International Medical Director and Product Underwriter.
Prior to joining 69É«ÇéƬ, Dhiraj worked for a direct insurer and another reinsurer in India. He holds an MBBS degree, and a Master of Hospital Administration. He completed his post-graduate studies in radiology and post-graduate certificate program in strategic management at IIM Trichy in India.
