Glen Preston is Director, Underwriting for 69É«ÇéƬ. He is 69É«ÇéƬ’s lead foreign risk underwriting specialist, and manages 69É«ÇéƬ’s International Underwriting Team.

Glen, an insurance underwriter for 28 years, is also a former U.S. Foreign Service Officer, who served for several years as a diplomat with U.S. consulates in the German cities of Frankfurt and Bremen, and in Toronto, Canada. This experience forms a cornerstone of Glen’s underwriting specialty – foreign travel and residence underwriting – and has enabled him to make important contributions to 69É«ÇéƬ’s reinsurance underwriting capabilities.

Prior to joining 69É«ÇéƬ in 1998, Glen was a senior life underwriter with TransAmerica.

Glen has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in economics from the University of Illinois - Chicago, where he minored in political science, psychology and European history. He was a graduate teaching assistant in economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, and also studied at the Foreign Service Institute in Arlington, Virginia. He is a Fellow both of the Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) and of the Life Management Institute (FLMI). He has published several articles, and has spoken at numerous insurance industry seminars and conferences.
