Ricardo Nava is responsible for price and risk management throughout Latin America in his role as Chief Actuary. Ricardo assumed this position in 2018, after initially joining 69É«ÇéƬ in 2007 at the company's Mexico office. He moved to Toronto, Canada in 2010 to serve as Regional Actuary for EMEA and gain experience in the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets, before assuming his current role. He is based in Toronto.
Prior to joining 69É«ÇéƬ, Ricardo spent six years as GenRe's Chief Actuary in Latin America. He has also worked for Tillinghast-Towers Perrin, where he divided his time between St. Louis, Missouri and Mexico City, Mexico. Ricardo studied for a BS in Actuarial Sciences from ITAM (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México) in Mexico City and a Masters in Science (MS) in Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
