Yunus (Pip) Piperdy, Underwriting Research and Development Manager, is responsible for technical research and development and specializes in medical research, product design and underwriting systems and processes. With more than 25 years of medical underwriting experience, Pip has been involved in all aspects of life, disability and annuity risk management, including research and development of underwriting manuals, product design, expert systems, audits and quality control, training courses and the design of underwriting software systems.
Before joining 69É«ÇéƬ in 2004, Pip worked for M&G Re, Zurich Financial Services and Legal & General in senior underwriting roles.
He is currently the U.K. editor of On the Risk, the international journal of the Academy of Life Underwriting. He has been an active member of various insurance industry committees and currently sits on the ABI Genetics Committee and Select 74 Underwriting Committee.
Pip earned a bachelor’s degree with honours in management studies at University College Cardiff in Wales. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
